I think dont think the ad being for life insurance was meant to be ironic. It probably just happened to be the ad that popped up for you on that page. I could be wrong but i dont think that ad is set to be on that page all the time. Possibly it is since i did just pop up for me but who knows. Maybe it was made to be ironic and a little humerous. Who knows.

And by the way, it was political when you asked us to discuss our thoughts on the fact that the sentencing came two days before elections. That is a political discussion.

Why did it took so long for the court to sentence him to death? I know we have new judge and Saddam acting like an idiot inside the court every day but still, isn't this verdict long over due?

It took the US longer to sentence Saddam then it did for the Iraqis. He was sentenced in an Iraqi court since they could hold him responsible for bigger crimes then the ones we could sentence him for. We also knew that they could give him the death penalty and that by them carrying it out it would show to their people that they do have the power to carry out their verdicts.

I wonder if there is any appeal process that Saddam has to go through before he is excuted!

Whenever the appeal process finishes, he has 30 days at most before he dies.

Appeals only work if there was an error in the handling of the original trial anyway. So if it's obvious there wasn't one, a judge will deny it and the countdown to doom for Saddam will begin.

So ends the great So D*** Insane.
